Martin Island. Shell Island. Whatever.

Here’s a 3D panorama I took during our trip to South Carolina. It’s of us visiting a tiny little island in Lake Wylie.

Click and drag in the image to look around.

Various members of our family have labeled it Martin Island and Shell Island. The naming issue was hotly contested while we were there, and so by a one vote margin the name “Shell Island” was upheld.

Until next time, I’m sure.

The thunderclouds rolling in were an afternoon staple of our visit. It was very warm and humid, and every evening spotty, strong storms would roll through with some of the oddest thunder I’ve ever heard.

  1. Excuse me, Mr. I-Know-Everything-And-Am-Always-Right. Madison, Grandad, Uncle Jon, and I discovered Martin Island (you weren’t there), and it had a ton more trees than Shell Island (the one in the 3D panorama thing). We even pointed Martin Island out when we floated by it in Grandad’s boat the time before last! You have not one leg to stand on in your accusation. So there. HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

  2. Well, I will say Kenny that you were a lot younger 2 years ago and so the “ton of trees” could have been for your shorter stature. Now that you have grown so, the island got smaller don’t you see?
I want you to come back, visit and take me out to find Martin island. I have some ideas. When can I get another visit Papa?
    Love to all!
